The Chinese academy of meteorological sciences has carried out extensive international exchanges and cooperation. It has signed cooperation agreements with relevant meteorological research institutions in Japan, Russia, Finland, Canada, Mongolia, Germany and the republic of Korea and established long-term cooperative relations with more than 20 international organizations and national research institutions. He has led the world weather research program "south China monsoon rainfall test (SCMREX)" and the world meteorological organization - urban environmental meteorological program "application of near real-time data in air quality forecasting". In the past five years, China has successfully held 11 international academic exchange conferences. Currently, there are 19 scientists serving in 18 major international academic organizations, and 7 experts have served as the main author and assessment experts of IPCC AR5. In November 2007, it WAS awarded the model base for international scientific and technological cooperation by the ministry of science and technology. In November 2007, the asia-pacific center of WMO SDS WAS established in our institute, and in October 2013, it WAS approved to be an associate member of the council of arctic university.
