The forum on ecological and meteorological remote-sensing (the 8^th period) and the seminar on the psychological adjustment and recovery force of land ecological system to drought were held on May 31 – June 1, 2019 in Beijing successfully. The seminar was hosted by Zhou Guangsheng, the researcher of China Academy of Meteorological Science, Professor Dan Yakir from Israeli Weizmann Scientific Institute, and Xu Zhenzhu, the research of Botanic Institute of CAS. The experts and scholars from Weizmann Scientific Institute, Botanic Institute of CAS, China Academy of Meteorological Science, National Meteorological Center, Tianjin Meteorological Bureau, Gansu Meteorological Bureau and Taiyuan University of Technology attended the seminar.

        Professor Dan Yakir performed the research on the mutual effect of plantation-atmosphere in multi-scale and under different environmental conditions for long time, he had many pioneering points of view on the research of the respond of semi-draught forest to climate change, and he is also the winner of Israel Prize, the top national prize of Israel. His researching achievements have been published in many famous journals, such as Nature, Science, Global Change Biology and Oecologia. Professor Dan Yakir gave the report of “Distinctive aspects of carbon, water and energy partitioning in semi-arid pine forest”, which mainly emphasized on the carbon-water exchange and energy distribution feature of the pine forest ecological system in semi-draught area, as well as its responding mechanism to the extreme events such as draught and hot wave. This seminar has received 15 academic reports made by the experts and scholars from Weizmann Scientific Institute, China Academy of Science, Taiyuan University of Technology and China Meteorological Bureau (China Academy of Meteorological Science, Tianjin Meteorological Bureau and Gansu Meteorological Bureau), and the attenders have made sufficient interaction and discussion on the researching progression and achievements of the psychological adjustment mechanism and recovery force of land ecological system to draught.
